Jones Beach
Jones Beach has a designated off-leash section at the southern end, with the rest of the beach on-leash. The dog-friendly stretch gives dogs access to sand and water, and the Kiama Downs setting is scenic. Dogs must be on-leash when entering and exiting the off-leash area. Stacks Eatery is a short walk away if you're after a coffee.

What people say
Nice clean beach with a surf lifesaving operation. A play park for the kids. A short walk to the shops if you want take away or an ice-cream. Also has an area you can take your dog's. Best of all it is an easy walk to Cathedral rock.
While I enjoy visiting the beach, I've noticed it could use some attention in terms of cleanliness, particularly due to an abundance of wood spikes that require careful navigation while walking. Perhaps it's quieter on weekdays due to people being at work, but it does offer a serene atmosphere. The high waves make it ideal for surfing enthusiasts, which is a plus. I appreciate that they've designated separate areas for dog walking, ensuring a pleasant experience for all visitors.
Nice long stretch of clean beach generally quite. Swim in patrolled area. Plenty of rips around.
