What people say
A very peaceful corner in a busy world. We had a picnic on the lawn on a lazy autumn afternoon. The weather was unusually warm and it was quite nice. The public swimming pool next door was closed on Easter long weekend so it was very quiet. Most of the ambient noise was from the boating traffic of the waterways facing the park. It must be approaching high tide that there was a stream of boats heading out to the deeper water. The river's water quality must be good for a number of oyster farms were right off the shore.
Great service. Accessible parking was convenient. Best Anzac dawn service around.
Nice views across the Crookhaven river. Some plaques with local history are there.
Beautiful location right on the water. Plenty of grassy area for picnics and both bench seats and picnic tables available too. Conveniently located near takeaway shops, the local public pool, a large outdoor play area and the wharf. The monument itself is well maintained and cared for and a good reminder of those who have sacrificed for our way of life.
