Hughes Park is a well-equipped local park in Lane Cove with open grass, a playground, BBQ facilities and drinking water. Dogs are welcome on-leash, kept clear of playgrounds and food areas, with bag stations, shade and parking on hand. It is a comfortable spot for an easy walk close to home. A pleasant on-leash neighbourhood park.
Dogs must remain on leash at all times when in public (including bushland) except in designated off-leash areas. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play areas, within 10 metres of food preparation/consumption areas, from recreation areas during organised games, from bushland/wetlands/mangroves, school grounds, and childcare centres. Superb park. I've been to this park on a number of occasions; BBQ, Live Music, a Native Bee Course in the Community Garden. The BBQ plates are hot so food cooks evenly and quickly. On my most recent journey I found a shortcut through to Lane Cove River (via unit block 300c). Parking is very limited. Family friendly, wheelchair accessible.
Just a bit disappointed how dirty is it. This park used to be my older son favourite park before I went there again with my younger. So sad look old and dirty.
There are tons of apartments and the views are spastic as you walk down towards the ramp. There's boats and a nice picnic spot 👌 It's a 😍
