What people say
French restaurant with a wide range of food choices, the food is nice but needed something to take it to the next level, I don't what it lacks but hopefully next time we dine there I find it. Staff were exceptional though very helpful and accommodating. The venue have a nice ambience garden bar feels, that suits melds into the surroundings of the Canopy. Parking access is easy and kid friendly.
Garçon was amazing the food was beautiful, the atmosphere top tier and service amazing. Yvohn was our server and was funny and interesting! Will definitely be back and recommend it!!
Really disappointed with the service. Their BYO wine advertisement was misleading. The fine print clearly states a 10% surcharge applies on public holidays and Sundays, but when we arrived we were told it doesn’t apply during Christmas. That’s not what was advertised, and it felt dishonest. Overall, not happy with the experience, and I don’t think I’ll be dining here again.
Garçon brings a touch of French flair to Lane Cove, offering a menu that balances comfort and elegance with impressive finesse. Standouts included the truffle honey baked brie - warm, indulgent, and beautifully complemented by its sweet finish. The coquille St. Jacques was cooked with precision and full of delicate flavour, while the truffle mushroom risotto was wonderfully smooth and perfectly seasoned. The truffle chicken cordon bleu was another highlight: rich, tender, and deeply satisfying. To finish, the sticky date pudding was superb - moist, aromatic, and impeccably balanced. Service is friendly and attentive, with staff who welcome guests warmly and provide thoughtful recommendations that genuinely enhance the meal. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, offering a pleasant setting suited equally to a leisurely brunch, a cosy dinner, or a casual catch-up. Garçon stands out as a charming local choice for French-inspired dining, bringing together excellent flavours, warm service, and an enjoyable ambience.
Been here twice. Both times were great. Service, food and cocktails were great. Very friendly staff. We ordered the calamari, baked honey Brie and Moroccan lamb for 2. Drinks we ordered 3 old fashions and 3 Pornstar martini’s and paid $255 for the lot. Only thing I’d change would be to have 4 pieces or bread with the Brie. 3 pieces wasn’t enough for the amount of Brie served.
