Super busy large pub with classic bar meals from burgers, pizzas, pies and chicken. All the basics covered well. Staff friendly if very busy and food can take time to arrive and doesn't arrive together. Pizzas are quicker, salads and chicken take longer. Desserts are random depending on how busy the restaurant is at the time. Food was decent, largish portions, hot and okay flavour. Pub grub done well but not amazing. Just what you expect from such a large pub, you're here to chat with mates rather than fine dining. Plenty of parking but at peak times can get full and again worth booking in advance if there are more than 4 of you.
Yes, I discovered this place a long time ago. Although it’s quite far from where we live, I finally decided to bring my family here today (2.5 hours drive in return) for a visit, food, and drinks. First of all, thank you for the warm welcome at the entrance. The Christmas decorations were beautiful, the views were great, and I genuinely loved the overall vibe. The rest areas were also well set up and comfortable. However, the experience quickly went downhill. After walking around and eventually sitting down in a quiet restaurant area (we carefully have chosen the table without a reservation name on it), we ordered food and drinks. After over 30 minutes of waiting, a staff member approached us and asked us to leave the table so it could be reserved for someone else. Although disappointed, we complied politely without complaint. We were then forced to move to outdoor seating under direct sunlight, despite having a newborn baby with us. To make matters worse, after another 10 minutes, the same staff member delivered our coffee — with nearly half of my latte spilled. We clearly saw it happen. The only response was a brief apology, with no offer to replace the drink. This visit was genuinely disappointing. While the food itself was tasty and well presented, the waiting time, table handling, and lack of basic service recovery were unacceptable. It was abit pricey too. Sadly, we won’t be returning for food again.
Came by because the Christmas decorations were so pretty — such a lovely festive atmosphere. The food was good; the pizza was my favourite. The calamari came out a little cold, but everything else was nice. We sat in the outdoor area so there were a few flies, but the space itself was still a really pleasant place to relax.
We’ve stayed here a few times now stopping through on our way to and from Melbourne to Sydney and it’s always amazing! The rooms are always great, and the pubs food is always 10/10! The atmosphere, the drinks and food it’s just great! Gluten free options are listed on the menu (gluten free burger with garlic potato bites instead of chips)
I have been here a few time times, its great place a have a good time with mates. Kids friendly and have good live music. Great bar and good range of beers on tap. Only downside is not many vegetarian options available. It would be great if If a few more options could be added.
