What people say
We stopped in to have lunch, ordered a salad warp for my husband, a toasted sour dough for me and two coffees. We were served the wrap and coffees, hubby ate 1/2 of his wrap, he said was very dry and tasteless, drank our coffees and still no sour dough for me. We decided to leave after 35 minutes waiting. I went to the coulter and told them I didn’t receive my lunch, at first they had no idea why and then they found the sour dough still sitting on the counter, no apology or reason given from staff. I asked for a refund. The next day I called to talk to the manager, she wasn’t in and I was told she would call me the next day. Days later I’m still waiting for that phone call. Very disappointed. I do believe new management has taken over, what a shame. We won’t be back.
Welcoming smile and attentive service from the time we walked in the door. The recent closure of a nearby competitor meant that the lunchtime rush was well and truly on. The place was heaving with customers and the floor staff were playing their A game. We chose to sit at a table out in the garden and it was super chilled. I'm always a little bit cautious about grabbing a table where we might be "out of sight and out of mind". But they are using the ME&U (QR code order-pay at table) system really well. The drinks were brought to us within 5 minutes and the coffee was above-average. The food arrived ~5 minutes later by another cheery staff member. Unfortunately, I started wishing that the kitchen staff had slowed down and bit more time had been spent on preparing the food. I went with the "Bent Burger" which *looked* fantastic. The accompanying chips were hot, crunchy and well-salted. But the main event featured a woefully undercooked and underseasoned beef patty. It was quite unpleasant and I only ate half of the patty before removing the remainder. My wife's "Asian Peanut Crunch Salad" also looked fresh and inviting, but lacked any distinctly Asian flavours and was inadequately seasoned.
Had a lovely breakfast here with out of town visitor. We had the bacon and egg roll and the Avocado smash with a side of bacon. Both meals were generously sized and absolutely delicious. The bacon is a stand out but honestly everything was great. Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the coffee is fantastic. Highly recommend a visit here.
Bent on Food in Wingham is absolutely amazing! The customer service was so warm and friendly. The food came out quickly, was fresh and a generous portion, great flavours. Their coffee was spot on too. It's easy to see why this place is popular. Highly recommend stopping by for great food, coffee, and service!
