Ryan Park is a park in Chester Hill with plenty of shade. Dog access isn't confirmed, but it may be worth checking.

Dog rules

–Canterbury-Bankstown City Council's "Pet-friendly parks and reserves" page states: "please remember to keep your dog on a leash unless the reserve is classified as a 'dog off-leash area'." The council's "Animals and pets" page summarises this as: "Keeping your dog on a leash, unless in a designated off-leash area." This venue is not on Canterbury-Bankstown's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Sadly everytime I've been here it is full of rubbish and the grass us very long. This park could really use some TLC . There is no shade where the playground is so the equipment is always too hot for the kids to play on. There is also no bathroom at this park.

A large park that is located between Middleton and Clack Roads. Several park benches and children's playground are located here. Paths run through the middle of this park. Plenty of parking alongside the park. When I visited the park there was lots of broken glass scattered across parts of the park. There are no public toilets at this park. There is some shade from several trees at this park.
