Seven Mile Beach has a dog-friendly off-leash stretch north of the Lennox Head/Alstonville Surf Life Saving Club, with on-leash access outside that section. Dogs can run off-leash on the open sand under supervision, with drinking water, toilets and parking on hand. Vehicles are permitted on parts of the beach, so keep an eye out, and shorebird nesting can bring extra rules in spring and summer. A beautiful, peaceful beach for an off-leash run.

Dog rules

Council-designated off-leash dog exercise area, north of Lennox Head/Alstonville Surf Life Saving Club. Dogs can exercise off-leash under supervision of a competent person. Dogs must be controlled and return to handler on command. Dangerous and restricted dogs are not permitted. During spring and summer, keep dogs on leash to protect nesting shorebirds.

There is a part who is dog friendly it’s beautiful and very peaceful just have to be careful as there is suv off road there so can dangerous for dogs if you are not watching. It’s a bit tricky to find you have to go past the camping and go to the end of the road and it’s there . There is no shower or water point there unfortunately which would have been great at least to rince your feet or give water to your dog so plan to have some water with you .
