Dog rules

Canterbury-Bankstown City Council's "Pet-friendly parks and reserves" page states: "please remember to keep your dog on a leash unless the reserve is classified as a 'dog off-leash area'." The council's "Animals and pets" page summarises this as: "Keeping your dog on a leash, unless in a designated off-leash area." This venue is not on Canterbury-Bankstown's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Not amongst the nicest parks in this area. Unless you’re looking for titillated pigeons, and ravenous white Ibis gathering around old stale bread, with the occasional corpulent rabbit joining in on the fun. I’m hoping this area will be revitalised with all the lovely new apartments going up around Villawood.
