Long Tan Reserve is a park in Bidwill. Dogs are generally allowed on a lead in NSW public parks unless signs say otherwise — but the rules here aren't confirmed, so check local signage before visiting.
Great place to jog, not a great place to take your dog who prefers sniffing for long periods rather than enjoying a walk for the sake of walking. If he ain't got something new to sniff after a while, he gets bored, so we only did one lap around and he wanted to leave 🤣
Our boys (and girls) have always punched above their weight and done us proud. Fighting, laying down their lives. I remember them and honour them. And so, I appreciate these memorials. We need to remember. We need to learn the lessons of history. This battle was one of our great moments. Notes to council: please keep these places near and tidy.
When the council maintains the park its nice park but it can look feral when they don't maintain it
A simple and hidden reserve dedicated to those who served in the Battle of Long Tan. Differentiated by the interesting mosaic and the interesting park marker, its a nice place to reflect and take a brisk walk.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
