We went with friends for lunch at this restaurant. The ambience is nice but it is a covered outdoor seating space with no aircons. There were no fans where made it really hard on such a hot day where we got the table and there were none other available. The service was quite slow and we literally got the drinks even after half an hour. The food was ok but lacked the flavour. The corn ribs and burger were good. But overall it was not a very great experience on a warm day.
I had an intimate birthday celebration dinner of 10 guests and Dee served our table with the most genuine care and amazingly kind restaurant service. I was very pleased to have her service my birthday dinner party. The food is amazing and atmosphere, lighting, fairy lights were absolutely perfect for my intimate dinner. Their Bee Sting pizza is incredibly a YUMMY PIZZA! As well as their duck fat potatoes. Their tiramisu is also delicious. I have been here many times previously with family, friends, and events. Hands down THE best wood-fired pizza in Western Sydney.
Came on a quiet night to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and what a surprise—‘hidden gem’ is an understatement. The customer service was excellent. I wish I remembered our waitress’s name—she was incredibly personable and attentive without being overbearing. The café itself is stunning. We arrived after dark, and while the outside was quiet, the interior was beautifully lit with decor that felt both rustic, elegant and inviting. We ordered two entrees, two mains, and a side—$170 all up, and what was worth it for the most part. • The paccheri in vodka sauce was a standout, especially with the Wednesday pasta special that added a refreshing raspberry mocktail with lime and thyme for just $2 extra. • The crispy barra was perfectly cooked and paired with (I think) was a corn purée that my wife and I argued over trying to figure out what it was • The baked brie and corn ribs were personal favourites—rich, flavourful, and beautifully presented. That baked brie was something else. • The duck fat potatoes looked great and had a satisfying crunch, but just didn’t quite hit the same high notes as the rest. Overall, a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back to try the breakfast menu. One thing to note is that the surrounding area is very dark. We drove in for a 6:45pm reservation and whether we came on a night when the lights hadn’t kicked in automatically yet or not, finding the path that leads up to the cafe’s entrance required a flashlight. We had no real problems but I’d imagine older people or families with strollers and young children may have issues navigating the path. This is not a complaint, but something I’d like to share as I feel it is something the cafe would benefit from by taking a look at if the days start getting darker earlier. Edit 13/02/2026 - Just came back tonight for an early Valentine’s dinner, and the difference in business was night and day — it looked like a reservations‑only crowd and the place was packed - which was great to see. My favourite baked brie is no longer on the menu, but I ended up falling in love with their woodfired flatbread with black garlic butter and honey. The corn ribs and paccheri (this time with chorizo) were still as good as ever, and their woodfired truffle pizza — Lord Truff, if I remember correctly — was a decadent mix of salty, gooey, cheesy, truffle‑loaded goodness. We didn’t go for the Valentine’s Day set menu because we weren’t sure we could finish it, and funnily enough we still took most of the pizza home but it was still absolutely worth it. My wife ordered the Solar Opposite mocktail, which was really refreshing, and we shared the tiramisu for dessert — light, balanced, and not overly sweet; just a really elegant finish to the meal. Staff were wonderful as always — super attentive and accommodating throughout. Another 10/10 experience. Definitely coming back again.
We recently visited The Birdhouse for brunch and had a wonderful experience. As strict halal diners, we truly appreciated the team’s understanding of halal requirements and their care in ensuring no cross contamination. The staff were transparent and accommodating, which gave us complete confidence while ordering. The Brisket Hash was hearty and comforting, with tender brisket, crispy duck fat potatoes, a perfectly cooked egg and rich hollandaise tying everything together beautifully. The Turkish Breakfast was generous and vibrant, featuring sujuk, poached eggs, herbed yoghurt, olives, matbucha and fresh vegetables with pita. It was a well-balanced Mediterranean spread with bold yet harmonious flavours. The Salt-Baked Beetroot offered a refreshing contrast, combining earthy beetroot with strawberry, ricotta and pistachio for a light but layered dish. The MB5+ Wagyu Sirloin was cooked with precision, tender and flavourful, enhanced by Café de Paris butter and jus. We finished with the Strawberries and Cream French Toast, which was elegant and not overly sweet, paired with refreshing Tropicana and Lychee Kiss mocktails. Overall, The Birdhouse delivers on flavour, presentation and service, while also being a welcoming halal-friendly option in Western Sydney.
Birdhouse delivered an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible and clearly worth the wait, and the service matched the same high standard. All of the staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Although we did have to wait a little while for our meals, the atmosphere of the venue made the time fly by, and when the food finally arrived, it exceeded our expectations. Definitely a place I’d recommend and return to again. P.S get the corn ribs and the wagyu steak!
