I went with my daughter to eat in on Valentine's Day. There was a customer sitting at the table next to us who ordered the same dish as me but had sent it back as she was vegan. When I ordered my meal, it wasn't fresh & warm as expected as fresh poached eggs should be. Toast was cold and soggy and so were the tiny eggs. They were hard, not runny yolk inside and already falling apart. It all smelled like curry that I hate which was not specified on the menu. I expected just salt & pepper which is what poached eggs usually come with. Definitely not curry which I hate. I asked for fresh poached eggs to be made that took another 10 minutes. They were tiny. The whole presentation of the meal was not appetising and just thrown together. I couldn't finish it. For $20 not worth cold bread and curried eggs. They most likely gave me that other person's dish 15 minutes later to bring out along with my daughter's fresh meal. We have eaten here previously before new owners took over and all our meals were lovely at that time. Oh, last thing, we had to ask waitress to get us cutlery & serviettes as we bought 2 meals but only 1 set of cutlery & 1 serviette.
My favourite place for a warm drink and sweet treat. The people that own this one are so lovely and care about their service! (Nothing like the other ones I have been to, sorry to say!) always love coming to the Ponds
had such a great experience at this coffee shop! The atmosphere was cozy, and the coffee was absolutely perfect — rich, smooth, and made with care. A special shout-out to Prakash, the barista, who made the visit extra special. He was super friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what he does. It’s rare to find someone who not only makes a fantastic coffee but also makes you feel right at home. Thanks, Prakash, for the awesome service — I’ll definitely be coming back!
I recently visited Oliver Brown The Ponds and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the Angus and egg roll, which was delicious and very satisfying, while my husband had the Spanish omelette - both were excellent. We also shared the fondue for two, which was such a treat and perfect for sharing. The coffee was great, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly. The venue itself is spacious with a lovely atmosphere, making it a great spot whether you’re dining alone or catching up with a group. There’s a fantastic selection of food and drinks, especially on the brunch menu. We’ll definitely be back!
First time at this cafe since it changed owners and menu. Definitely more inviting. Being NY day and only 3 staff, it took a little while to get our food. Whilst the big breakfast tasted nice, it was a bit let down by the small serving of scrambled eggs. Smaller than anywhere else we’ve been. That would be my only recommendation to bring the rating up to 5 stars.
