Empress Street Reserve is a well-regarded dog-friendly park in South Hurstville where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find shade, BBQs, and toilets, making it an easy spot for a longer outing.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in this park. Under Georges River Council policy, dogs are permitted on-leash in public places except in designated leash-free areas; this park is listed on Council's Park and Reserve Facilities directory and is not a designated off-leash area.
I love this place, its just couple of blocks far away. Usually go there to get some fresh air. And yet, this place got bbq hot pan and toilets as well for them who wants chill nearby. A well equipped reserve. Cheers!
Good place to hangout with friends and family. Need more barbeque space and probably may be new shade so it can home two or more groups during peak times, then nobody will be disappointed if one of the shade is busy.
Always seems to have a lot of rubbish around and not particularly well maintained. The wood chips in the playground area are a PITA. Playground equipment however is decent and has a shade cloth. Barbecue area and basketball court add an extra star.
I was very disappointed to see a lot of rubbish people left in the park. Those rubbish brings risks to children's safety as well as health. Not recommended if condition is not improved.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
