The Squire’s Landing provided the perfect backdrop for our group of 12 to celebrate a friend’s birthday, seamlessly blending world-class views of the Harbour Bridge with an atmosphere that is both vibrant and welcoming. The food was exceptional, from perfectly prepared steaks to incredibly fresh seafood, while the on-site brewed James Squire beers and creative cocktail list kept the celebration flowing. Despite the size of our party, the service was attentive and flawlessly coordinated, ensuring every dish arrived together and every guest felt well-looked after. It is easily one of the best venues in Sydney for a large gathering where you want top-tier quality without sacrificing that relaxed, iconic waterfront vibe.

We turned up without a reservation on a wet Sunday in January (having only arrived in Sydney that afternoon). All of the staff from the doorman onwards were friendly and helpful. We managed to get a table where we had a view of both the Harbour Bridge and the opera house - iconic views for Irish visitors. The food was excellent (posh pub style) and we had delicious Australian wine. In particular, I would like to mention Faradina, our lovely waitress who looked after us so well. A brilliant, memorable first evening in Sydney.

The Squires Landing offers a lively waterfront experience with a great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly efficient, especially considering the busy, fast-turnaround environment. Service remained smooth and well-coordinated throughout. The vibe was a highlight with live music adding a relaxed and enjoyable energy to the space, making it a lovely spot to unwind. While the oysters were unfortunately not as fresh as expected, the children’s fish and chips were well done, and my rocket salad was fresh and enjoyable. Cocktails were on the pricier side; however, they were well made and thoughtfully balanced. Overall, a great location with strong service and atmosphere.

A lovely dining experience overall. The food was very enjoyable and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The view was absolutely excellent and really made the setting feel special. While it did get a bit noisy at times, the atmosphere was still enjoyable. A special mention to the staff for the thoughtful surprise dessert for our honeymoon, such a kind gesture that made the night even more memorable. Would happily return.

The Squire’s Landing at The Rocks in Sydney is an amazing spot with unbeatable views. You have the Harbour Bridge on one side and the Sydney Opera House on the other, which makes for an incredible setting whether you’re there during the day or in the evening. We really enjoyed the Pacific Ale beers. My wife usually doesn’t drink beer, but even she liked it — it paired perfectly with the food. I had the chargrilled steak sandwich, and my wife ordered the Korean fried chicken burger. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and came in generous portions that left us completely satisfied. The fries were excellent as well — cooked to a perfect golden brown with a nice crisp. No soggy fries here. This is a great stop for any American traveler or anyone looking for a hearty, satisfying meal in an iconic Sydney location. The staff was super friendly and very helpful, which made the experience even better.
