Dog rules
Dogs are welcome in this park but must be kept on a leash at all times. Off-leash exercise is only permitted in the City of Sydney's 50 designated off-leash parks — this is not one of them. Dogs are prohibited from playgrounds, sports courts, and enclosed sports ovals. Please pick up after your dog — free waste bags are available at most parks. What people say
This is a beautiful little park. It is situated above Harrington street and there is a stairway from there to access it. You can also approach it from the street above. The sculptures situated here are great. Imaginative and expressive. There is a partial view of the harbor bridge and would be a good place to see the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Beautifully maintained and a great place for a picnic.
A lovely little park, that is also the perfect cut through to get to the wharves.
Come for the history, not for the park. Once at the park, keep walking uphill for a peek of how Millers Point used to be. It's one of the last original laneways left. Lots of historical signs. Worth the detour for history lovers.
Great little park just up from Hickson Road/Jones Bay Wharf and down from Observatory Hill. Steeped in history it's tastefully modernised and there are various plaques explaining the background to the area and how it got it's name etc. There's a small (but functional) play area for children but no swings or slides but still good. Great views from the park of the Harbour Bridge too.
One of the myriad small parks and reserves in the Rocks area of Sydney that is probably only known by the locals. A small patch of grass about the size of an old-school Aussie backyard plus some playground equipment. Short walk to cafes / restaurants and other touristy things in the area - if you have young kids it might be a point of interest to help them burn off some energy.
