We are return customers because we can be assured of an outstanding dining experience. This results from the regular updates to menus and interesting choices, the fantastic fusion of flavours and textures of the meals, the hospitality and attention to ensuring customer satisfaction by staff and overall a high end dining experience. Many thanks to Stephen, Martina and colleagues.

Excellent cafe. Been here quite a few times over the years. Coffee is excellent, service is great, friendly staff and the meals I've had are very good quality as well. However I ordered these pancakes and shared them with a few on my table because I felt they were a bit bland. We agreed they needed something so I asked for maple syrup. Took a little while but we got that and the bill. $3.90 for half of the smallest dish possible with maple syrup. Now that left a bitter taste.

Moonacres Café came highly recommended by the locals, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The staff were a touch abrupt when we first arrived, but once things settled, the service warmed up nicely. The meals were the real highlight; fresh, beautifully balanced, and full of flavour without trying too hard. The café started off with a calm, peaceful atmosphere… at least until a lively troupe of post-dance-class biddies swept in around 11:30 on a Tuesday, turning the quiet into a spirited matinee. Charming in its own way — but if you’re after serenity, maybe avoid that timeslot. Overall, a great local spot with standout food and a community feel. Just time your visit wisely!

In the small town of Roberson, this cafe offers a bit more trendy experience, with prosciutto legs and wine bottles in display, and open kitchen. However I didn’t think the quality of food followed…. Although my almond chai tea was superb, we ordered ordinary cheeseburger and cod and hash open toast. The menu was interesting, most food had no protein sauce, and not many options for carnivore… the pastry section was small as well but looked interesting. The cheeseburger was way salty and the sauce was just one from McDonald.. so it tasted like Bigmac. The chips looked freshly cooked, but soggy for some reason. The cod and hash was not better, cod was super dry like it was cooked a long time ago and microwaved for 30 sec, and hash the same. They were cut small cubes and I assume there were like 25g of cod cubes in total… it had thinly sliced zucchini pieces as well but cold, in the overall warm food.. and the sauce was overpowered by pepper. Each of the ingredients were not balanced overall, not to mention it wasn’t cheap eat, did not feel I paid what I paid. Good thing was bread, the sourdough bread was good (but I’m not a big fan of sesame on bread.. ) the milkbuns for cheeseburger was ok. Service was ok with helpful staff, and the atmosphere feels cosy and nice. Good experience, but next time I’ll just eat pastry or bread, not for lunch.

Busy June LWE Sunday lunch visit. Hubby and I enjoyed our Broccoli sandwich, although found it expensive at $17 a pop. We also ordered the hand-cut chips and found the larger size ($10) was the right size for the two of us - although a young staff member did try to take our bowl back, thinking we had ordered a small bowl, even though we had started eating them, and had ordered the large (awkward). Honestly, the service could be a tad friendlier, and the coffee (Mecca brand) was cold by the time we got it. The carrot cake and brownie that we ordered to go, were both delicious.
