Enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of toasted banana bread while sitting under a tree, savoring every warm sip. Take in the beautiful scenery and watch the fields stretch out before you from the cool shade. The café has picnic mats available at the entrance—perfect for relaxing under the trees with your coffee or even a glass of wine. It’s a lovely, scenic stopover if you’re traveling from Sydney to Melbourne. They also sell homemade relishes; I especially loved the capsicum, onion, and tomato one.
Beautiful place to stop for lunch. The grounds are lovely and the food was nice. What wasn’t nice was the very dirty toilet block. Owner / management, it needs a major renovation and scrub. Please also fix the outdoor broken umbrella or throw it out. These things make or break a place especially given you have a grand venue room there.
Met a friend for lunch here. Food is good if a bit pricey. I had the goats cheese tart which I think was microwaved as pastry was crumbly but soft. Lovely setting though so we walked around the grounds and later had tea and scones which were lovely but again quite pricey. Great location for meeting people half way between Wollongong and Canberra.
Stop over here on the way from Canberra to Blue Mountain for some coffee, cakes and wine. The cakes were all wonderful. The coffee was ok. We had a bottle of wine which was very good. We had to pay additional fee from the displayed price of the wine for drinking the wine in the cafe. Service was excellent.
Very much enjoy stopping here for breakfast/brunch on our way from Sydney to Canberra. The cakes are beyond delicious with cream on the side. Coffee is always on point. The poached eggs were yummy today but would have been even better with a second piece of toast and looked more presentable with a little green garnish. Way more pleasant experience than stopping at the fast food servos a bit further down the road.
