The Watch House Cafe & Pizzeria

Great coffee, cakes made in-house and fast friendly service. We came here for a quick coffee, sat on the verandah and were pleased with how quickly our coffees arrived and how well made they were. Bit of a hidden gem, uphill from the shops, walking distance from the new skate park and playground at Rathmines.

Humble, but average. I had so much hope when seeing a new cafe was opening in Rathmines! The staff are lovely, but the food and drinks very average. I had an eggs Benedict and it was all very average, with the standard pre-purchased packaged hollandaise sauce which I personally find gross. The coffee was very average. I have tried both a long black and a latte, long black watery and bitter, latte milky and not very strong. This place has so much potential, would love to see some more training with the baristas and some more homemade artisan options on the menu, rather than bottled stuff.

Over cooked chicken schnitzel that looked like it had been cut in half , very thin. And served with beef gravy. I would give this meal minus 1000. I went here once and had a big giant schnitzel with the same friend. And we thought it was fantastic. How ever this is not the case now. $29.00 wasn't of money. We will not reurning. To this place ever again.

Coffee and cakes were delicious! Looking forward to trying their breakfast, lunch, and pizza menu. Pizza is definitely worth trying! Next the lunch menu!

Is new to Rathmines, hope they do well. Coffee & food good, cakes look good. If you like stronger hit for coffee, have 1/2 or 1 shot extra. Carrot cake was a little dry. Friendly girls serving, making coffee's. Great spot for locals, nice surroundings.
