Lusso Bistro Blacktown

We came to the workers club for lunch and aircon, and was met with amazing food from Lusso. As we have a baby and wanted to get out of the house this restaurant ticked the boxes to make it easy for us new parents, we come during quieter lunch times eg weekdays or saturday lunch- The Pizza from Lusso is amazing! The pork skewers are also delightful. Blacktown Workers club in general has Parking, aircon, good coffee, great food, clean and modern restaurant, easy pram access. We’ve come 2x in a few weeks so it’s now our little haven when we need to get out of the house and don’t want to drive far or face the shopping centre. Perfect for nap time for the little one and we can just have a breather.

Lusso Buffet has recently taken over the old buffet spot in Blacktown and presents itself as a more modern upgrade. The venue itself does look better than before. It’s brighter, more open and has a cleaner, updated feel. That said, some of the older chairs and carpet are still there, which throws off the overall look a bit and makes it feel half-renovated rather than completely refreshed. As for the food, it was average in my opinion. There were a few decent options, but I personally found the selection a bit limited for a buffet. A lot of the dishes leaned towards being quite heavy and oily, with plenty of carbs and not much that felt light or fresh. I was especially disappointed with the honey chicken. I waited for a fresh batch to come out, but when it did it was overcooked, quite burnt in parts and extremely sticky with barely any actual chicken inside. It just wasn’t enjoyable. Overall, it’s not terrible, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me.

Great food! Efficient. Mervyn was our server and he was so lovely. Just recently rediscovered this place and have been back a few times now. Definitely recommend!

Nice restaurant in the Blacktown workers club. The server Mervyn was fantastic and friendly, the food was good too the Arancici was a nice starter and the Risotto was a winner. The churros for dessert were also a nice finish to the meal. It's good value for what it is and a good option if your having a family outing.

We celebrated my grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary here, and it was a wonderful experience. Jasmin and her team were incredibly attentive, professional, and accommodating, making sure everything ran smoothly and that our family felt well looked after. They helped make such a special milestone even more memorable. Highly recommend.
