What people say
We frequently visit Leumeah Hotel as it’s the closest restaurant to our workplace. The food is consistent and always served to the same standard. Our usual choice is the 250g grass-fed rump steak with mushroom sauce, chips/ mashed potato/ salad, and occasionally we go for the beer-battered fish and chips. The portions are generous, it’s budget-friendly, and definitely a good spot for a hearty lunch. The hotel also has plenty of free parking, which makes it even more convenient. Overall, a reliable place for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
Stopped for a Friday dinner. Given that they have $15 pub classics and $6 beer and wine all day, every day, how could we not? I went for the $15 rump, my wife had the $15 schnitty, and my daughter had the $15 cheeseburger. It's hard to knock meals for $15, amd we've had worse meals that cost a lot more. The steak was good without being spectacular. Cooked medium rare as ordered, and 250g in size. No complaints about the schnitty from the wife. The burger was drowning in burger sauce, which kind of made it a pain to eat, but it was still nice. The only real complaint would be the chips. Not everyone like chicken salt to the extreme on their fries. I seriously was drinking 2 or 3 mouthfuls of beer after each couple of fries so I wouldn't dry out. Maybe just back off the shaker a bit guys. I would recommend dropping in for a meal. Staff are friendly. Seating upstairs is welcoming, and drinks are cheap.
Finally got my grubby hands around their lamb shank dish after three visits! It was worth the wait. Serving is generous and very filling. Recommended highly by my next door neighbour. And finally went to dinner. They have $15 pub specials everyday, lunch and dinner. Serving size is generous for $15. We were both very happy with our meals, but I was not impressed with the bruschetta. The bread was soggy and it was on brioche, instead of toasted sourdough or ciabatta, which would have been much better (it doesn't go soggy quickly). Aside from the misfired bruschetta, the barra and rump steak were amazing. Both dishes went down a treat. Portion size were large too. I love their chicken wings as well. The only sauce I like out of the three (ranch, buffalo, cola BBQ) is the BBQ sauce. Their prawn springrolls are so good: pure prawn meat, no fillers (vegetables, fake crab meat, etc. like the Chinese springrolls). However, I recommend trying it with their cola BBQ sauce, instead of sweet chilli sauce. It tates better. Also, there is discounted prices if you join Punlinc (it's free via QR code), discounts between $1-$6 for each food items. Just remember your table number. Service was great and very friendly. Food took a bit longer but I figured it was busy on Friday night. I would recommend reserving tables on Friday and Saturday nights, as the venue is extra busy. Keep in mind, they are busy every day of the week.
Smells like smoke here. Not enough tables if you want to eat, you definitely need a booking if you want to sit away from the sports bar where it smells like smoke. We got here before 3:30pm and mostly all tables are reserved for 5pm, 6pm etc. and waiters not gonna let you sit on those tables even though there's still plenty of time. And getting told off in a way that you felt like youre getting kicked out and did something bad (just for sitting on the table that's reserved for 6pm). We were standing and waiting to order at the cashier, but the same waiter told us that they wont take order til 330pm, it was 3:26pm that time. He didn't say in a way to inform us, he said in a way that you feel like he's telling you to just go and leave. Maybe just lazy and dont want to clean the table again. Feeling that you just want to leave and not welcoming here as getting kicked out of the table you were sitting. Nevertheless, food is good and cheap. I guess the bad experience is just because of that one waiter.
Wow!! I had such a great time photographing a 21st birthday party. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the staff were so nice and accomodating. I will definitely be bringing my family here for a meal and I hope to be photographing another event here soon!!! Thanks Leumeah Hotel ( The Loft ).
