I recently did the Pub Tea bottomless at The Australian Brewery and honestly… it was AMAZING. The food was so generous and delicious a huge range including fish sandwiches, sliders, nachos, onion rings and more. Everything was fresh, full of flavour and way better than your typical “bottomless” offering. The staff absolutely made the experience. From Abbie’s service (so friendly and attentive), to Tashi the manager making sure everything ran perfectly, and Sam whipping up the spritzes all afternoon the team were incredible. You can really tell they care about customer experience. For only $90, the value is unreal. It’s so rare to find a genuinely good bottomless these days, let alone one that runs from 10am all the way through to 9pm. Perfect for literally any time of day. Such a beautiful pub the perfect spot for a long catch-up. Highly, highly recommend giving this one a go. We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent service, great quality food and awesome hospitality. The food is much better now as compared how it was a year ago. We liked all the food that were served today - including steak, nuggets and chips for Kids, burger and lots of healthy vegetables. Love the personalised and individual care given to our family. Tashi really took care of all of us and was super friendly, needless to say he’s the star of the venue. Keep up the great work team Australian Brewery.
We went on a Monday and it was 2/3rds empty. Two empty buckets inside the bistro labelled “gravy” and “pepper” with dates from December 2025 sat on the floor to greet patrons as they enter. I ignored this red flag, to my peril (the buckets were spotlessly clean). They have QR codes on the table, but they weren’t linked with the kitchen, so you can’t use them to order. Despite being 65% empty there weren’t enough staff to clear tables promptly. We ordered and went back to our seat. A staff member came over to tell us that the additional halloumi we ordered on my salad wasn’t available and could they substitute another cheese. When we asked which cheese they’d substitute, the server (and apparently the chef) couldn’t tell us what the substitute would be. My partner asked for the $9 halloumi to be taken off their credit card. A manager then had to be found to reverse the transaction and it took a while to do that. Food (a mango and prawn salad and a steak) took a while to come out and didn’t come out together and my partner had to go and get the salad themselves because the staff forgot about it (it’s not the server’s fault she was the only one bringing meals outing the entire bistro). The salad that comes with the steak is just coleslaw, not an actual salad. The food was quite tasty I’ll give them that and my salad seemed quite fresh and nicely presented. My partners steak was cooked to the correct done-ness. However it’s the first time my partner has ever run out of chips with their steak (wasn’t a generous amount, see photo). Was it a bad day? Or a sign of a decline? Unclear.
This is a little disappointing, we’ve been regulars of the brewery every Saturday for the past few years and it’s sad to see the food quality going downhill. The sides of the mains (chips and salad) have both decreased in portion size by at least 50% and quality, as well as the mains itself being disappointing. The schnitzel was burnt around the edges, the chicken itself was dry and the brisket topper was dry and stringy. The chicken tacos weren’t much different, with a price tag of $23 I’d expect the chicken not to be dry and at least be served consistently sized pieces. You’d think with a reduced menu the quality would continue to be consistent however it seems to have gone the other way.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Food, Service & Atmosphere! We had a great experience at the Australian Hotel & Brewery. We ordered the Garlic Bread, Brewery Burger, and Chicken Schnitzel everything was fresh, tasty, and well-cooked. The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The venue itself has a great ambience and character perfect for a casual meal or catching up with friends. We also noticed they have weekday specials and discounted prices for Pub Pass members, which is a nice bonus. Definitely worth a visit. we’ll be back!
