I had my birthday party in the function room at D&O. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff were extremely friendly, food was delicious, vibes were great. There were many options as well and the venue was very flexible in accommodating my requests or suggesting variable options. Special shoutout to Val who made this all happen! Great asset to D&O!

We had a group booking for dinner before heading to a show on Friday night so allowed two hours for dinner. The Dove and Olive was very busy but the customer service was excellent and our meals arrived quickly. Thank you chef for accommodating my deconstructed nachos order request (gluten free) with the corn chips on the side. The vegetarian option was delicious. DIY nachos is my favourite! Would definitely go again.

Heard great things about this place so decided to try the Sunday Roast and oh boy what a disappointment. The beef was so tough and dry not even the knife could cut through it - it was like cardboard; not even the gravy could save it. The lamb was better but mediocre.

A Hidden Gem in Surry Hills: A Review of The Local Pub I'm excited to share my positive experience at this Surry Hills pub, a true haven for those seeking affordable, delicious pub-style meals amidst the typically pricey neighborhood. The generous portions are a standout feature, ensuring you leave feeling satisfied without breaking the bank. The drinks are a great size, and the happy hour special on schooners is a steal. But what truly sets this pub apart is the warm and welcoming staff, who consistently go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The real highlight, however, is the free trivia night on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, hosted by an external company. The quiz is engaging and well-structured, with prizes that incentivise patrons to support the pub – we're talking bar cash to be spent within a reasonable timeframe. It's a fantastic way to enjoy a night out with friends or colleagues. The only potential drawback is the noise level, which can get quite loud during trivia night. As someone who sometimes needs a bit of extra support, I recommend bringing ear protection or investing in noise-cancelling earbuds. That being said, the food is consistently top-notch, with flavours that hit the spot every time. If you're craving authentic, hearty pub grub, look no further. While I've only had the pleasure of visiting during trivia nights, I'm eager to return and experience the pub's charm on a quieter evening. Until next time!
