We found this gem pet friendly hotel from Facebook. What a find! 2 minutes off the highway, friendly country atmosphere, good meals and cold drinks, comfy nice rooms and great grassy areas for Dixie our wonderdog. Best part was the lovely lady who checked us in gave me a tip for a swimming hole just across the road… absolute bliss! Definitely will stay again.

Place is a great stop, its dog friendly, solid meals till 9pm. Two big gardens spaces for animals/kids, rooms are as pictured nothing fancy, but not lacking in anything. Make sure you call ahead for bookings with animals(small reasonable dog cleaning fee) will be stopping off here again.

What a wonderful place to stay!! 5*****’s all the way!! Mark was on top of everything, from fast replies on emails to great face to face service. The bar and food…exceptional. Most delicious mushroom gravy I’ve had in years!!! Great food great portion sized meals, fantastic locals, everyone was lovely to talk to. The locals were fun and easy to talk to we had a blast watching them play darts. Rooms were very clean and quiet, it was a super hot weekend and Mark had even turned on our air conditioners to have a cool room when we arrived. Thanks Mark and all of your staff for a great couple of nights.

Not one to usually write a review, but felt I had to. Travelling from qld to Geelong and stopped in over night for dinner and somewhere to sleep. Rooms are pretty basic but very clean. The pub and staff were awesome and the meals were the icing on the cake. Best parmies we have had in a LONG time- side of mushroom gravey was spot on. Kids were happy. All around super impressed by the rooms, service and meals. Would recommend to anyone passing through. Cheers guys!

Top spot to stop for the night. Up the road is the posh joint if that’s your thing but you’ll pay for it $$$. The motor in was great. Really friendly service and very comfortable beds, but the rooms are a tad basic - no issue if just passing through. Easily the best night’s sleep I had on a 3 week holiday. Despite the proximity to the Hume it’s tucked behind a hill which deadens the sound, unlike the exposed free camp up the road. The scenery and the animals in the nearby paddock are a great touch too. But most importantly - what a feed at the pub! The local’s pub. Great atmosphere when filled up with the farmers, all very respectful, up for a chat and surprisingly no/very little swearing which is to be commended in this day and age. Big plates of food served quick, and of a really high quality.
