Really good food well priced. Was very surprised, doesn't look much from the outside however inside was nice comfortable. Being open on a sunday evening is a great find

The food is exceptional here and always on point, the bistro deserves credit for what they do. Great Atmosphere, Staff and Pub 👏👏

Trying to find an eatery open on a Sunday night in North Sydney can be a bit of a challenge. A quick internet search revealed that the Billy Barry’s Hotel was open, and available for dinner meals. After short walk from our accommodation, we climbed up the hotel stairs to enjoy the eclectic decor of the pub. We sat in a booth by the window and perused the menu. A good choice of pub food was on offer. The hospitality staff were great. The bar person recommended the beer special to enjoy with my meal. A Japanese beer brewed in Australia no less. I was not disappointed. For our meals, we ordered the bangers & mash and the chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce. The food was delivered to our table very soon after ordering. It was hot, and very tasty. Importantly, prices were quite reasonable and not excessive. A top pub.

Fun atmosphere, just had beer but it was nice and cold, good selection. Friendly people!

Great quaint place hiding in North Sydney. Lots of eclectic signs all around the place, would take many visits to register them all. Great atmosphere and not too loud, so easy to have a conversation. Service staff were fantastic, pleasant, friendly and helpful. They didn't have the ingredients for my cocktail choice, but happily substituted another. We got a selection of nibbles and all very enjoyable along with the pizza, and everything for once is reasonably priced. The sticky date pudding was the only letdown as it was fairly average.
