Bay Ten Espresso is a dog-friendly cafe in Lavender Bay. Just 150m away, Constable Reserve is a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.
My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on our mid morning walk on Monday. The cafe was not busy and we chose a table along the wall with nice cushions and a rug on the chair. Staff were warm and friendly. Just choose a table, then read the menu, go to the counter to order, and pay for your meal. Hot meals arrived quickly and efficiently. My wife ordered Eggs on Toast ($18) consisting of two soft poached eggs and a side of mushrooms, served with 3 slices of toasted sourdough bread with a dish of soft butter. She loved the meal of soft runny eggs and the good amount of toast with the tasty mushrooms. I also ordered Eggs on Toast ($24) consisting creamy, scrambled eggs, a good sized, side of steamed chicken and large mushrooms served with 3 slices of sourdough toast, with a small dish of butter. My breakfast was perfect, the stars were the good sized serve of creamy scrambled eggs and the steamed chicken. I really loved my meal, as well! We washed down our meal with the excellent, 9 Spice sticky chai teas with soy milk ($6.70 each). The ambiance in this cafe is eclectic and restful. The menu differs from the website, so I took a photo of the breakfast page of the menu to show what is available now. Toilets are located near the front of the cafe. We were a little disappointed that the current menu has left off the Shakshuka and the Green Goddess Toast, they sounded great. Nevertheless, a breakfast here is highly recommended.
A hidden gem, only 5 minutes walk from Milsons Pt or North Sydney stations. Situated in a spacious former industrial complex with impressively large windows and a hip interior, the space is uplifting and the food is delicious! This is the 2nd time I've taken friends and they all loved the food, coffee and service. Both times I had the vermicelli salad with crispy chicken, absolutely delicious. They also serve a small selection of wine and beer. At the end of the cafe space is a small Artisan store 'Wyldwood Creative' with floral arrangements, ceramics, wood crafts and wall art. It's also interesting to wander through Bays 5 to 10, with colourful murals and repurposed shipping containers and cozy spaces.
This place is an absolute vibe. The staff were really efficient, the food came out super quickly, was hot, and delicious. The menu is very straightforward and unpretentious. It’s also very customisable, which I love. The coffee was good, for Sydney coffee; I’m from Melbourne so draw your own conclusions. I really love the atmosphere and the location. Looking forward to coming here more often.
Excellent coffee and food! I really love the decor inside the place. Perfect for a crowd, date or going solo. Staff are friendly too. Only downside is they aren't open on weekends, but all the more reason to visit on a weekday
Fantastic coffee and great atmosphere! Rich, smooth, full of aroma and flavour coffee by White Horse roasters. Very stylish industrial style cafe - look no more if you are looking for an off-the-beaten path cafe with very high open ceilings, leather sofas, ample indoor sitting space. Last but definitely not the least - they do drinks on Friday's and live music too!
