Cracking country Pub!!! In a quintessential town. Pete is the ultimate Publican. We called in for a very quick beer before heading back home from a night in Armidale. Instead Pete convinced us to stay for lunch and several beers. He nearly convinced us to stop for the night after a tour of the pub rooms. Food is exceptional. Homely, flavoursome and top notch pub food. Frankie the security dog also deserves a notable mention. Both Pete and Frankie never stopped taking care of their patrons. Five stars. Worth the stop every time.

I didn't stay in a room, I came for the steak and it did not disappoint. Classic steaks only the country can provide, I'll be missing it bad up here in Queensland; A must try if your in town

My friends and I were staying in Uralla for the recent Motorcycle Rally in Walcha and were delighted to have dinner at this pub. Contrary to another similar establishment up the road the night before, all steaks were cooked perfectly according the the doneness which was ordered (Scotch x Rare, Scotch x Med Rare, Tenderloin x Med Rare x2). The steaks were all fabulous! Service from both the Bar and the kitchen was excellent with their team consistently showing they were happy to be there and enjoyed their jobs, which rubs off on their interface with the customers. Excellent night, great food, great service. Highly recommended!

Out for two birthday dinners and a lunch. Great well cood fish and chips, medium rare steak and veg. Great wine beer selection. Waitresses are not only prompt but kind and gentle. Nothing too much trouble.

We are traveling from the U.S.A. and stopped in for dinner and drinks. Happen to be here on their Re-Grand opening after the renovation and this place is amazing. The staff, the owner, and the patrons were all so welcoming. Great food, and atmosphere!!
