We had a fairly average experience at the Willoughby Hotel. While the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the service was noticeably slow, which took away from the overall dining experience. The desserts were also quite ordinary and didn’t really stand out in terms of flavour or presentation. On a positive note, the balcony seating area was lovely — open, breezy, and comfortable — providing a pleasant setting to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. With a bit of improvement in service speed and dessert quality, this could easily become a much more enjoyable dining spot.

We had Thursday night special the chicken schnitzel and rump steak at very reasonable prices. Food quality are both fresh and tasty. Also the tuna salad is nice. Upstairs balcony is chill and relaxing watching the traffic goes by.

We were just up there with a group of 10 people for my sons birthday dinner. Everyone ordered and all meals were paid for and when the food was delivered albeit spiratically they were short a meal. Some of the drinks ordered for the girls were also delivered late. When we asked on three occasions where the food was they said they will follow up and find out. And instead of attempting to sort it out did nothing, did not have a manager come and make any attempt to make good or appologise for the issue. We then went up and spoke to the bar tender who took the orders from the bar, who was unable to look at the order and as they did not provide a receipt we could not check and he did not know how to work the till correctly. And I told my family to go and eat their meal as it was going cold, there was quite a bit of frustration after that which I relly did not appreciate at a celebratory meal. Overall given the amount of money spent and their very poor service indeed again not impressed. And I did not even get to eat at the birthday dinner for my son, as given the time it took to make the food in the first place everyone would have already eaten by the time it would have arrived if at all and they expected us to pay again!! I have been going there for near two decades and found the service this time very very poor and the prices excessive given the portion sizes that others were given. Cannot recommend it anymore given our recent experience and dont think we will ever be going back. Really not impressed at all!! It has very much gone down hill from what I remembed as our local pub!!

Found a thick and rather sickening beard hair wedged under the cheese of my chicken parmigiana. Waiter took it, apologised but didn’t offer a refund.

Great food and choices of cocktails. Service is great at bar. The only disappointment was after we finished our meals the plates were never cleared even though we had 3 cocktails delivered at separate times and no one cleared our plates. We will be back but this just had to be noted as not great.
