Love the backyard here, it has a really good outdoor space for the kids to run around on one of the converted lawn bowls greens. Great food too. The prawn curry was delicious

A really unpleasant dinning experience, we had to wait 45 minutes for our food and when it arrived, it certainly wasn't worth the wait. The Thai beef salad was awful, the beef being tough and dry and the non authentic salad was dry also, with hardly any dressing. The ribs n chicken was a little better, hence the two star rating! First n last dinning experience for sure.

Wheelchair accessible and they now have a ramp out the back finally! Great place, visited for a baby shower - finger food was great, no long lines for the bar and just an all round cool hangout

I would have given a negative result but alas one was the least I could give them. The kitchen CLOSED at 6:30 just 30 mins after our booked table and we were told that there was a corporate function and the kitchen was overwhelmed with orders. We had children who were hungry - imagine telling them that we had to wait over 30 mins to order??? We asked to speak to the manager who said that it wasn’t his fault as it was Christmas and denied there was a corporate function. We tried to explain that if we knew there was a “corporate function” we would have booked elsewhere or at least should have been told when we booked. He seemed to misunderstand that expecting a restaurant with over 100 seats plus and outdoor eating area having an overwhelmed kitchen that just closed when bookings arrived was just unreasonable. I asked him whether we could order food and bring it in and his response was a blunt “no”. It’s like going to a pub that doesn’t serve alcohol. Stupid - unreasonable and a room full of patrons who are sitting at empty tables. Nonsensical. Don’t go here. Go to Massey Park. Food is plentiful, top quality and speedy. Bar staff managed to serve plentiful patrons but the kitchen crippled at 6:30 and decided to close. DONT GO HERE. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND A KITCHEN THAT DECIDES TO CLOSE 30 minutes after you arrive.

Pretty disappointing visit to Briars Sports. Bar prices are reasonable but the bistro is a noisy mess. Go on a Sunday and the place is teeming with families and kids being left to run amok while their parents chat at tables. A child spilled a drink in the main dining room and ran off creating a hazard. Food all over the floor and tables not cleared. Bistro ordering staff member was rude. Two burgers were ordered at $22 each. Food took 35 mins to arrive. The chicken burger was not crispy as promised. The coleslaw was the stuff you buy in bulk from the deli at Coles with that thick cream dressing and that was the only flavour you could taste. Was expecting house made slaw. Really uninspiring. Beef burger was ok. The beer battered fries were the only redeeming quality. Cooked to perfection. Bowling greens in need of TLC. Better bowlos to go to in Inner West unless you want to let your kids run wild for the afternoon and disturb everyone else.
