First time visit, pork knuckle needs to reserve a day in advance. Good vibe, food was ok( both chicken n knuckle n chicken schnitzel a bit dry), overall the feel is comfortable n authentic, outdoor sitting area dog friendly. I think it’s a good option for the neighbourhood. Could get quite busy sometimes, recommended to make a booking in advance.

The food at the Austrian Club was absolutely amazing, as were the drinks! Honestly, the entire atmosphere was so welcoming that I wanted to stay there all day. The volunteers are wonderful, and the music also. While the drive to and from the club was quite long for us comng from the mountains it was more than worth it. We'll be back again soon!

Positive: Location, atmosphere, the pretzel itself was good as well as the schnitzel and the pork, decoration and Glühwein (mulled wine)!! Please improve this: the plating/the look of the food, my Schnitzel had a ridiculous salad with it as you can see in the pictures, it would be better to have 2 lemon slices for 2 Schnitzel instead of 1, the butter for the pretzel comes in a premade container that you normally get on your flight - it would be better to just get some butter in a little bowl (and a little bit more than this container offers) to just make it look nicer! Another important thing you should improve is the spices on your food like the potato salad, bread dumpling (Semmelknödel) to actually get the taste of Austria/Germany!! Last but not least, we were missing the jus for the pork roast, bread dumpling & sauerkraut. When we asked the waitress - first of all she had NO idea what a jus was and when we said something like a sauce she pointed at the plate and said that (in our opinion the broth) was the sauce. Can’t be it because a jus is always dark so we ended up not arguing but also didn’t get the jus… All in all, we were really looking forward to come here and get a little taste of home and we’re a bit disappointed by little things that could be easily fixed or improved. Background about us: we are both from Germany and we both come from the hospitality industry and my partner is a chef!! We might come back in the future and hopefully have a bit of a better experience so I can rewrite my review

This institution in the Frenchs Forrest area, this tucked away place has been serving up schnitzels and roast pork decades. It may be a little kitsch with the red chequered table cloths and Austrian themed paraphernalia, but the food is hearty, reasonably priced and consistently good. A good spot for large groups, though be prepared to wait as the kitchen is not huge.

Authentic food, authentic pricing, good value for great experience. Rotating weekly specials, this venue is certainly worth a shot. Wiener schnitzel is the best by far if you are looking for a schnitzel experience.
