Stopped in for lunch. Great menu, lots of choices. Drinks in a wide range. Quick service. Friendly staff. We were there midweek and there was lots of room. Large capacity venue. well spaced out tables and benches. Facilities in good condition. Dog friendly, beer garden available. Beer garden partly covered. It was a cool day and there was no objection for us to move under more cover with our two small very quiet dogs.

Steak was decent. Cooked well, good flavour. Pepper sauce was the standout. Chips were an okay portion. Salad was tiny and came with no dressing, which felt lazy. The air-con dining room is way too small, gets cramped fast and feels stuffy when it’s busy. Location is good and parking is okay, but the driveway is very steep. If your car is low, you’re going to scrape. Worth knowing before you roll in. Overall, solid pub feed, nothing mind-blowing, but it does the job. Would eat here again, just wouldn’t hype it up.

I didn’t want to have to make this review because I want to support locally But after dinner the other night I was absolutely disgusted in the service of the waitress at the register Young blonde girl, She looks like she couldn’t care less just did not want to be there, She couldn’t be any more moody taking our orders, What has made up my mind about not coming back is the short middle aged woman with the dyed red hair, rude and disrespectful Is an understatement. We were there with about 10 other people and all of us were appalled at how rude someone could be. The waitress forgot gravy on my partner’s parmi So I walked back and asked for a side of gravy and she was quick to bite and say I never ordered it and I said I definitely did. I also repeated my order to her twice to confirm. Then she said no there is definitely gravy on that plate. I watched it walk out and I said okay no worries let me go check (I knew there was none on that plate) I walked back to my partner’s plate so there was none walked back and said I told you there was no gravy. Would you like me to show you and she rolled her eyes and scoffed grabbed some gravy and slid it across the table rudely and then said next time order it! This is not the first time this lady has been rude and has had a Disgusting behaviour. I have been living in Silverdale for years and I avoid Wallacia just because I do not want to spend money on a place with such horrible staff. I wanted to give this place another chance considering it has new owners, but no thanks it’s still trash

I’m extremely disappointed by a recent visit to the Wallacia Hotel. While the food and atmosphere were initially enjoyable, the behaviour of one waitress completely ruined the experience. The waitress (name badge: Bree) behaved in a way that was highly unprofessional and inappropriate. She repeatedly made rude and unnecessary comments toward the women at our table, including commenting negatively on one of my friend’s makeup, which was completely out of line. At the same time, she was overly familiar and flirtatious with my friend’s partner to the point where even he appeared visibly uncomfortable. This included excessive touching that crossed professional boundaries and clear favouritism in how he was treated compared to the rest of the table. Food was placed politely in front of him with friendly remarks, while my friend’s meal was put down abruptly without acknowledgment. We also noticed a clear pattern of her being warm and engaging with male customers while treating female customers dismissively, which was very uncomfortable to witness. This establishment has always felt family-friendly and welcoming, which is why this experience was so upsetting. One staff member’s behaviour has unfortunately tarnished what used to be a place we loved visiting. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as no customer should feel disrespected or uncomfortable while dining here.

Went to Wallacia Hotel and had lunch in the outside garden area under the large tree, nice food reasonably priced and bar service was good, there were No Smoking signs in the area we were in but people were smoking in another area near us and the wind was blowing smoke in our direction , another guy was smoking just outside the indoor section near where we were sitting and we had to leave because of it. I thought smoking was banned pretty much everywhere except for outside areas away from the venue. Nice pub but unfortunately won’t be back because of the smoking issue.
