We were looking for a rooftop bar so we tried this one. Fortunately, this was the right place for our preference: quiet, not crowded, good music that we even sang at our table to the songs being played. We are introverts trying to enjoy the night, indeed, we had a really good time.

Plane Spotter's was an ok experience, but unfortunately, not one I recommend. It is located on the rooftop of the Branksome Hotel. There were some hits during our visit but also a lot of misses. The inside area of the bar was so hot and humid. It was really hard to be in there, but we were able to move outside. Despite numerous staff working at the bar, service was really slow, and there was a constant long line. Staff outside the bar were working hard, bringing out food, clearing plates and glasses. They came to check in on a number of occasions to see if everything was going ok. This was appreciated. Food was average. Everything on the menu is cheap (for a reason). I ordered the fisherman's basket ($21). I found it to be too salty. There were different types of seafood as part of the meal, but they all tasted the same and had the same texture. One of my friends got the beef sliders. Although they looked good, they didn't taste good and she wasn't able to eat it. Another friend ordered a pizza but said it tasted like it had been microwaved. There is a nice view of the city from the rooftop. The entire floor of the bar is covered in fake grass.

Stayed the night 2 weekends ago, had dinner & drinks with my kids at the rooftop bar. It was quite spacious outdoors, relaxing vibe & food was not bad. Choice of beer & wine were limited. Would’ve been nice if they offered some craft beers & better wine choices. Don’t mind paying bit more for quality. Bar indoors had no A/C turned on, so it was quite uncomfortable if you were to sit indoors. When I asked the staff, they said there’s no A/C which I found strange considering it’s a bar in a hotel. Customers will stay on for live music if the ambience was more comfortable. Shame really…

Nice location. Beautiful views. Happy Hour beer selection was poor.

Great drinks! Their Prosecco was very good along with their Tequila and white wines. We cannot comment on anything else except the seafood basket, chicken wings and sliders which were phenomenal! This is a perfect spot to sit inside with excellent live music or outside enjoying the airplanes coming and going in a relaxing yet sophisticated garden-like setting.
