My recent experience at the Keighery Hotel back to back two consecutive days was extremely disappointing. The staff members were very unfriendly and quite disrespectful in the way they spoke to us. We politely asked for a complimentary drink, but one of the staff members told us that we had to play first before getting anything or pay for it. The frustrating part is that we were already planning to play the pokies, it was simply taking a few minutes because I had forgotten my password and needed to reset it. Instead of being understanding, the staff member and the manager spoke to us in a way that made us feel like we had no money and were only there to hang around. Customer service should be about treating people with respect and making them feel welcome. Complimentary drinks are meant to be a gesture of goodwill to enhance the customer experience, especially in hospitality venues and gaming environments. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. The staff members really need better training in basic customer service and how to speak to customers respectfully.

This place has the most ridiculous "House policy" where they request you must have a mixer with your whiskey. I just want to relax after work, pay $10 a nip with ice but no that's not possible here. Also they don't do member searches at the counter anymore. They also have a no NRL policy so you can't watch the footy here. On a positive, if you're into pokies, or pool it's a great pub and they do free pizza on a Saturday.

Came here recently with my friends. Staff were super friendly from the beginning. Pub had a nice vibe. Cold beer and pool table were available. Pokies area was definitely renovated and has improved a lot since the last time I came. Would definitely visit soon.

The guard is really racist . We were just laughing and had 2 beers each. He was rude and very condescending. The bald guard has been low key harassing us, every time. We live 2 house down. And we often visit this place. But we always get treated worse as a minorities. Please look on to this. This is not acceptable.

Keighery Hotel is a great spot if you’re looking for a chill place to hang out with friends. I recently visited and had a really enjoyable experience. The ambience is relaxed yet lively—perfect for unwinding after work or catching up over the weekend. Their beer selection is solid, with a good variety on tap to suit different tastes. Whether you're into classic lagers or something more craft-oriented, you'll find something that hits the spot. The staff were friendly and service was prompt, which added to the overall good vibe. The place has a welcoming layout with comfortable seating and just the right level of music—not too loud, so conversations flow easily. It’s definitely not pretentious, just a genuine pub atmosphere that makes you feel at home. While it may not be the most upscale venue in town, Keighery delivers consistently on quality and comfort. The food menu is decent too, with all the pub classics if you’re feeling hungry. All in all, it’s a solid 4/5 from me. Definitely recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a laid-back spot to grab drinks and spend time with mates
