I really enjoy coming to Fishbowl Newington. The food is always fresh, tasty, and filling without feeling heavy. You can tell the ingredients are good quality, and everything just works well together. The staff are friendly and quick, even when it’s busy, and the place has a nice, relaxed vibe. It’s an easy go-to spot when you want something healthy that actually tastes good. I’ve never been disappointed here definitely recommend.

The worst grilled fish burger I’ve ever had. Fish stunk, lettuce was brown and wilted, buns are dry. Fries are stale and gross. Oil tastes old and no flavour. Better off going next door to Woolies and making it myself.

Normal fish and chips costs $15.80. The fish fillet is a low-mid quality Basa fillet, taste a bit earthy or just tastes okay. Dissapointed that for $16 it doesn’t even come with sauce or a drink which you have to pay extra. I think for using cheap basa fish it would be fair to atleast add tar tar sauce. On all 3 occasions I’ve had, the chips have been nice crispy and well salted so props to that, however the last time I ordered the worker did not give me lemon to put on my fish. Granted must’ve forgot but for future customers, staff pls don’t forget too. Overall, if you’re hungry and looking for something quick to eat, I would say go for it but don’t have a lot of expectations for the fish unless you want to ask for a different fish which will cost extra

Fishbowl Newington has been my go to Thursday lunch treat for many years. The salt and pepper calamari is great tasting and a firm favourite. Nico and the team are always smiling and friendly and offer great service. I highly recommend it.
