Beautiful. Clean. Quiet. Good for surfing, swimming, or walking. There is an off leash dog section as well. There are toilets and showers close to the middle of the beach.

Perfect in so many ways. A beautiful town, lots of coffee shops and restaurants, safe, kid friendly beaches and an excellent estuary for fishing and swimming. A walking path follows the headland which captures 270 degree ocean views. Highly recommended.

Sawtell is a lovely town with great cafes and restaurants. Has a beautiful headland for spotting whales and for swimming. On low tide you can wade over to the small island to have an explore.

Sawtell is one of our favourite spots on the Coffs Coast. The river mouth is perfect on calm days — floating down toward the sandy entrance is something the kids always loved. Great little town as well, with a classic picture theatre and some really nice bars and restaurants. Easy to spend a full day here without rushing. A place we keep coming back to.

Great cafe at the surf club, right near the main tree-lined avenue; beach is always nearly empty
