Canley Vale Dog Off-Leash Area is a good-sized off-leash space with shade, grass and a playground nearby. Dogs may exercise off-leash under effective control, with a limit of four dogs per person, and need to be on a lead outside the designated area. The rear is unfenced and backs onto bush and a creek with a steep drop in places, so it suits dogs that stay close and respond well. A handy local option for an open run.

Dog rules

Off-leash dog area. Dogs must be under the effective control of a competent person at all times (maximum 4 dogs per person). Dogs must be on a lead when outside the designated off-leash area. Dog owners must dispose of dog droppings in the bins provided. Dogs declared menacing, dangerous, or a restricted breed are prohibited in off-leash areas. Not a bad dog park. Good size but there is no fencing at the rear. The park backs onto bush and behind that is bordered by a creek. There is quite a steep 3m or so drop to the creek in places and my dog almost fell down. Would be very difficult to get him out. The bush is likely snake habitat so be very careful. One water source. One seat in the shade. No small dog area though park was empty when we attended. 3/5

NO DOGS WERE FRIENDLY HERE. I had to leash my dog up simply because the small dogs would bite my dog and bark at her. Shes friendly and a medium sized dog, she doesn’t bark but is energetic all dogs that were apparent were barking and biting and having a go. Dont take your friendly dog there

Went late at night n was grateful one of the neighboring houses had motion sensor lights then again not many dog parks are well lit at night unfortunately. Didn’t notice any agility equipment but the grass is well kept & the park is big enough for a good run and play. There’s a couple of benches for d humans. Just be aware that the whole park is not fenced off n am glad Scar didn’t go in that direction coz it was very dark & bushy n I think there’s a river or creek ? The grassy area is great tho!

So much space for your fur babies to run around, Super quiet. Recommend for anyone with dogs who prefer to play by themselves or with only a few dogs as its never over crowded.
