Manning Point Beach is a dog-friendly beach. Vic Shoesmith Reserve is also around 850 metres away — handy for drying off and burning off more energy after a swim. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking before you visit.

Dog rules

Dogs are permitted on or off leash on the council beach south of the beach access, except within 50 metres of patrolled swimming areas, in Little Tern nesting zones and on signposted bushland trails. Dogs are prohibited north of the beach access (NPWS exclusion zone / Manning River entrance).
