Sharpes Beach is a dog-friendly beach in Skennars Head where dogs are welcome on lead. Skennars Head Reserve is also around 500 metres away if your dog still has energy to burn after a swim. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking before you visit.
Dog rules
Dogs are allowed on leash from Angels Beach to Sharpes Beach. Dogs are not allowed at the northern end of Sharpes Beach during surf patrols.

The upgrade has recently been completed. Only 1 outdoor shower and 1 inside an accessible cubicle that was locked. No change room, so had to take up a toilet cubicle 🤷

Great place to park, and check out the scene! Be wary where you walk(mid April 2025 onwards, due to all the major storms we've had) though further south 100 metres, or so, the sand is coming back, all the way to flat Rock, and beyond to Angels beach. Quite a few out surfing, with the descent swell, with strong winds mixed in! Enjoy

I like flat firm beaches to walk on cos I have crook knees. This beach is perfect. One of the best beaches I have been to. The walkway down to the beach isn’t too bad either and back up, bit of soft sand but i coped ok. Also the coastal path passes though her so you can also walk some of the path in either direction.
