Bimbadeen Lookout is a well-regarded dog-friendly park in Mount View where dogs are welcome on lead.
Dog rules
Dogs are welcome on-leash at Bimbadeen Lookout. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act, dogs must be kept on a leash in all public areas except designated off-leash areas, and must be under effective control at all times. Owners must remove dog faeces. (Source: Cessnock City Council, Parks and gardens register.)

Lovely views of Cessnock and the valley area. The view is limited in width however so some of the roadside views on the way up are better.

Decent view of the valley, but don’t expect much in terms of a developed lookout - there are no facilities at all here. It’s unsealed roads most of the way up and the site has had graffiti and garbage problems in the past, which detracts from the experience. On our last visit, while it seemed there had been an effort to clean some of that up, it looked like a car had been recently abandoned in the area.
