Cronulla is the Sutherland Shire's beachside hub — a laid-back stretch of coastline with a 4km esplanade walk, rock pools, and a ferry to Bundeena.

The main beaches don't allow dogs, but Greenhills Beach — just north of Wanda — provides timed off-leash access and is the only permanent ocean-facing off-leash dog beach in Sydney. Darook Park allows dogs on-leash on paths and grassy areas. Don Lucas Reserve provides additional green space. The Cronulla Esplanade is a scenic on-leash walk.
