Shelly Park is a large grassed park beside the Esplanade walkway on the Cronulla peninsula, with BBQ facilities, a playground and lovely coastal surrounds. Dogs are welcome on-leash, as it is not a designated off-leash area, with toilets and parking on hand. It is a comfortable, popular spot for a walk by the sea. A pleasant on-leash park near the coast.

Dog rules

Dogs are permitted on-leash at Shelly Park. Sutherland Shire Council requires dogs on-leash at all times in public reserves and spaces unless within a designated off-leash area.

Shelly Park is a large park adjacent to the Esplanade Walkway on the Cronulla Peninsula. This is a fantastic park to come to for a BBQ in Cronulla. It’s very wheelchair friendly with the rock pool having a ramp to push the chair into the water which is fantastic. We have taken advantage of this many a time. There’s quite a bit of street parking but this can fill very quickly as this park is so popular. The BBQ, chairs and tables are first come, first served. The toilet amenities are really good and there’s a wonderful walking track along the water. There’s very good shower/changing room facilities for people after swimming on the beach or the pool. There’s also a very good fenced children’s playground, complete with a swing for wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and are prohibited within 10 metres of the fenced playground. There is a kiosk and a restaurant across the road. We use this park a lot because it’s soo convenient. We love it. Thumbs Up!! 😊😊👍👍

Great place to relax. Got playground, you can do picnic with family and friends. They got public toilets as well and the swimming pool in the coast. Family Friendly place. Heaps of parking as well.

Great location for a picnic and swim with magnificent ocean views. Never too crowded and easy to get a park if you're patient. Has toilets and a takeaway shop close by.

This is seriously a great ocean pool. Perhaps my second go-to after Mahon Pool. I like that it has a lovely grass area to sit and relax. Good little coffee shop a short distance away too. Always difficult to find parking being Cronulla but the pool is worth a visit.
