Calm waters, younger crowd and families close to station and also has street parking
Great park with an abundance of trees ti escape the summer sun, and a massive betted off swimming area surrounded by long boardwalk making it perfect for swimming and fishing… Plenty of parking on Nicholson Parade and a short walk through the shady parklands to the waters edge… The water area to the south of the boardwalk/jetty is nice and shallow, making it ideal and safe fun for young kids… There is a large undercover area ideal for family gatherings and/or parties right behind the Gunnamatta Pavilion… Not really enough bins throughout the park though considering its size
Great area right on the water. Children’s playground, undercover bbq areas and sandy beach area with a sea water baths that has protective netting. Could be better maintained by council and cleaner but I’ve seen worse.
Located at 39/41R Nicholson Parade, Cronulla, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. A great little park for a picnic with the family and friends. There’s good BBQ facilities (which could use a little maintenance) and toilet facilities. There’s street parking which can fill up pretty quickly especially on the weekends as this is a popular spot. The baths are great to swim in especially for the kids and the beach is great too as it’s quite sheltered. There’s a really wonderful walking trail along the water and around the hill. Very wonderful park. Thumbs Up!! 👍👍😊😊
Visited this hidden gem once again in Cronulla, and it's one of my favourite spots. It's far less crowded than the typical beaches, making it a peaceful, underrated location. The calmer waters and the jumping wharf make it perfect for an afternoon visit when the tide is low ideal for taking photos, walking your dog, or just spending quality time with family. Or even that alone time. Just keep in mind to avoid the public holidays if you want that peaceful vibe. I've even done some professional shoots here, and the scenery never disappoints! PS: Go at low tide at Sunset times get the best experience here!
