The Old Rosebud

Dogs likely welcome

Updated 16 May 2026

The Old Rosebud is a cafe in Rozelle with an outdoor area. Dog access isn't confirmed, but venues with an outdoor area are often dog friendly, so it may be worth checking. Just 400m away, O'Connor Reserve is a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.

Great little spot, always very accomodating and lovely staff. I love that the outdoor seating area is accessible for those with dogs/prams so we can order from table and not have to go inside. Food and coffee is always good too

Dinned here breakfast on a Saturday. Been meaning to try here for a while as the facades seem interesting with street appeal. I ordered the bacon and egg with double egg and bacon. Once received the egg was too runny and the bacon was cooked but not enough. The relish was a slight skim and not enough. My wife ordered the fritters. The fritters were small, seemed pre-made and bland

Very poor service and atmosphere 😢 , had hubby's 80th birthday lunch there like Fawlty towers ordered platters of food for 12 people 1st up one omelet to share for 12 people , wine served incorrectly so they poured it back in the bottle and recapped it quoted $300 .charged $500 in the end ,

Came here for a Sunday brunch. Delicious food. Menu has a Turkish vibe along with classic breakfast foods. I got the mantı, Turkish dumplings in yogurt. It was incredibly good. Best mantı I’ve had other than the one my grandma makes 🤗. My husband got the zucchini and corn fritters and he absolutely loved them. Coffee was delicious.

Its is a lovely cafe to be at either with your family or for your own company too. I was here with my mom and we tried two items and they were heavenly. The quantity is just appropriate to make you full and the service on top makes it even more better. The warmth of the cafe and the service is something that will bring me back. Highly recommended if you go once you will come the second time too and i can vouch on it. Loved the experience❤️
