J.F. Laxton Reserve is a hidden-away local park in Dulwich Hill, a small green oasis with a playground for the neighbourhood. Dogs are welcome on-leash, as it is not a designated off-leash area, and there is a nice grass area and shade. It is a quiet, low-key spot for an easy walk close to home. A pleasant on-leash pocket park.
Inner West Council's "Dog exercise areas" page states: "By law, dogs must be on a leash in public places unless the area is a designated off-leash area." This venue is not listed as a designated off-leash area on Inner West Council's Dog exercise areas page.
A really lovely, quiet park with good measure of seating, shade and sun. It has a substantial, covered table area suitable for kids birthdays. I also like that it has a large grassed play area with shaded seats around the edge and a playground area. Landscaping borders the footpath to help keep kids from venturing too close to the road. It’s walking distance to sideways cafe and light rail. Public toilets are a bit far across the field next door which is why I’ve given it 4*
This is a nice a small playground for the kids in the neighborhood it's a little bit of a hidden oasis. it has a nice grass area for your dogs, cats. very pleasant. And there's also a place to sit up for birthday parties or just any kind of celebration. Would be better if there's a shade over the kids area.
A gem of a medium sized suburban park. Up the top end there is a children's playground. There is also a public BBQ and shelter shed. Lower down there is a tree lined grassed area for ball informal games.
Great sausage rolls at the cafe if you like to watch soccer at the oval on a cold winter morning - lovely place for a walk!
Nice beautiful park with plenty of space to relax and play. Really liked the trees on the sides and benches nearby. A great place to organise kids birthday party's and picnics
