Café Calibre

As someone new to Marrickville. This cafe (tucked away down a peaceful route)was a warm surprise/discovery- happy, quick and cheerful service. Their hot mocha and stuffed eggplant were really nice, filling too. I'll definitely visit a lot more often!

Beautiful food! Lots of seating and really great service. Coffee was a bit weak but I have pretty high standards on coffee and everything else was amazing, so still a 10/10.

Came in and got seated right away — the service was quick and friendly. Loved that we got the option of sparkling or still water. The food came out fast, and the atmosphere was immaculate — great vibes all around. The medium steak was juicy, tender, and full of flavour, the chips were perfectly seasoned, and the sauces tied everything together. The prawns were fresh and delicious — absolutely loved them. Highly recommend Cafe Calibre!

Got here at 8pm, closes at 9:30pm, the kitchen staff were clearly annoyed by walking in to a table, occasionally seeing one of the men in a hat giving dirty looks/stares. All we wanted was 2x sticky date puddings, there was no sauce with the puddings, which was the whole point of going. We all felt very uncomfortable being seated as we could feel the tension of us being there after staff had cleaned up early. Positive - they brought us water before the sticky dates & it was quick service. $30 for 2

Absolutely love this place! The food is incredible – fresh, full of flavour, and with an amazing variety of both sweet and savoury options. We tried the chicken burger, the grilled peach and chicken salad, the chicken and beef sandwiches, smashed avocado on toast, and the bacon and egg bun – every single dish was delicious. Sweet potato fries are out of this world! You can tell a lot of care goes into the ingredients and presentation. The coffee is also top-notch – smooth, rich, and exactly what you want from your local go-to café. We haven’t even made it to the dessert menu yet, but the chocolate fondue and waffles are calling our names for the next visit! The atmosphere is another standout – super clean, beautifully decorated, and with the perfect background music to relax or catch up with friends. The staff are so warm and friendly, which really adds to the whole experience. Highly recommend – this is hands down the best coffee shop in Dulwich. Can’t wait to come back!
