Lovely spot up here, even better if there wasn't bus loads of tourists every 5 mins that don't know how to be quiet... Metered parking also, low noise by blue mountains national park
In my opinion, this is the most underrated yet peaceful lookout in Katoomba. Forget the Disneyland of 3 sisters- this is the place to enjoy the valley views. I only found out about this place after looking for a good sunset spot. Parking here is a breeze, rather than the 12/hr spot, park on the street and in 5 mins you can witness the most. Breathtaking views of the valley that only get better as sun sets. Until bus loads of tourists come in 10 mins prior to sunset and swarm over and destroy the solitude. But such is life- the region needs the tourists from the neighbouring biggest economy. A must visit in Katoomba. Best to visit at tea time - take a picnic and enjoy the solitude. If you’re into star gazing- nowhere darker than this spot- bring a torch and binoculars.
If you’re visiting Katoomba, this is definitely worth adding to your list. Pack some snacks, come a little early, and enjoy the quiet charm. And for those who love the night sky, it’s a fantastic place to stay back and watch the stars come alive. It’s peaceful for most of the time, though it can get briefly lively as more people arrive closer to sunset—but nothing compared to the main hotspots. no long waits, no crowded platforms. Just sit relax and enjoy the quiet breeze.
If you're visiting this place for the first time, it will feel like you are walking to the heaven's door and the nature has widen up its heavenly beauty for you. Go half an hour before sundown and stay until the sundown to enjoy the view with gravititional & earth's rotational wind force as it suddenly stops right after the sunset.!! Makesure you grab your jacket and hold the phone tight in the wind while capturing the moment.
The scenery is nice, but there are even more magnificent landscapes compared to the Blue Mountains. The scenery is already quite good even for a short walk.
