Lovely view, pretty amazing some structure. Again bus loads of tourists every 5 mins & metered parking are stupid...
I visited on 7 Jul 2025, Windy (Winter) Stunning view.,Cahill’s and Boar’s Head lookouts is twin Metered parking from 8am to 8pm. The path access to the boar’s head is just nearby. I am eager to go next time for sunset in summer.
Great lookout and walking track near by. The views are stunning all year round. It is quite high up, so don’t be like me and forget to wear sunscreen because the UV can be quite punishing up here. The car park at the lookout is now metered parking and rangers do actually check from time to time so be sure to either pay or park a few streets back in the residential area where it’s free and take an extra 10 minutes to walk to the lookout and save your money.
10/10 views. I'm giving it 4 stars as there is metered parking, which is rubbish, but other than that, it's just a short walk from the parking area. There are stairs just before the lookout area. Nothing is too difficult. All easy access. There are no railings or fences, so walk with caution. Perfect place to watch the sunset. This is popular with tourists as Cahill Lookout is just to the right of here. Other than that, it is peaceful and relaxing to visit.
Awesome little lookout, short walk from the road, but parking has to be paid for, which is a money grab. The mean lookout is very easy access on a flat, smooth pathway right down to the lookout. Great views down the valley and back towards Boars Head.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
