Ate here before going online with uber for dinner, ordered the Steak Sandwich & grilled prawns. The steak sandwich was the best I've tasted and the grilled prawns well seasoned and juicy laid out on bed of lettuce, they were the best and the juiciest prawns I've had long time. I would definitely be coming back here again if am in area...
Time and time again I visit this Fish and Chip shop, and I have a wonderful experience. My last visit was no exception. Placing an order over the phone, I was assisted by Natalie, who had fabulous phone etiquette, was polite and attentive. Upon arriving to pick up my order, I was welcomed with a warm smile by Archie, who treated me with great kindness, a positive attitude, and wonderful manners 😉. Hats off to the chefs who prepared the food, it is always delicious! Beautiful batter, high quality fish, fresh and tasty frying oil and the burgers and shakes are a must! I will continue to give my support to this fantastic local Takeaway shop.
Tried the fish cocktails today and was blown away the batter was beautifully crispy without being greasy, and the fish inside was fresh, moist, and generous. Easily one of the best fish cocktail experiences I’ve had in the mountains!
Sadly this place was a huge disappointment. We stopped in to get something to eat on the drive back to Sydney and oh boy were we disappointed. The servers at the front who were cooking seemed very flustered. There was a longish wait time for food which isn't a problem normally, but when the food is of such low quality and not cooked/burnt then it's not good. Pretty sure the potato scallops were home made, they were hard as rocks and the potato was raw in the middle. The chips were burnt and also raw in the middle, they tasted really bad. The chicko roll was burnt and hard as a rock. The calamari was surprisingly good but not amazing. The fish cake was completely burnt on the outside and hard and not cooked enough in the middle which tells me the oil is up way too high. If we had more time I would have taken it back and demanded a full refund. We had to throw 95% of the food away. I don't want to hear sorry or any excuses. You guys just need to do better or don't run a take away shop. Also it's pretty pathetic that you guys have been open for 60 years and you can't manage to serve good food....If the original family members who opened this could try the food you serve now they would be so ashamed of you and what you have done to this take away shop. Shame on you for ripping off your customers.
We stopped here to buy dinner on our way back from scenic world and got the fish & chips, calamari and beef burgers. The seafood was tasty, fresh and the chips were well seasoned. The beef burgers were ok, even though the buns were burnt a little. I didn't expect beets in the burger but it was unexpectedly good. Overall a good place for hot fresh food.
