The grassy beer garden is nicest for pets but Blackheath is very cold in winter and there are no heaters, so pick a sunny day!! Food is good and there are a few nice dog parks near by, our favourite being the old air strip.

Nice cosy pub with a dog friendly beer garden out front with grass that's well maintained and umbrellas for shade. Can't go past the steak sandwich!!

We were treated to a delicious dinner at The New Ivanhoe. The restoration inside has made it a lovely place to sit and eat. It was very busy yet the food came out quickly after ordering. We had the squid for a starter which came with a tasty sesame dipping sauce. My partner had the beef burger which was stuffed with an array of fresh salad that juxtaposed beautifully with the rich and lean beef paddy. I had the chicken schnitzel which was so large I couldn’t finish it but the crumb was light yet crispy and the chips were fresh and crunchy. Could not fault this pub, keen to come back and try more of their extensive menu.

Visited the restaurant 2 times absolutely wonderful. The staff the food and atmosphere are just a great escape. My friends had actually grew up in the area. I was visiting from the Midwest of the USA. The staff and the area was so very warm and friendly. The kitchen staff really had great meal prep and the food was so very tasty. Loved my visit here most definitely.

Dropped in to this conveniently located pub in Blackheath. The pub looked busy for a Sunday night however the service was quicker. Had couple of meals with my wife. Scotch fillet was cooked precisely with perfection as what I had wanted. Spot on!!! Probably the best Medium-rare steak I ever had. My wife also loved the Thai beef Salad. 5 star for the food and service. Will definitely return here when I visit blue mountains again.
