Greenhills Beach is a long, open stretch of coastline with wide sand and strong ocean conditions. Waves can be rough much of the time, making it better suited to dogs that are comfortable around surf.

Behind the beach, sand dunes and vegetated areas provide additional space to explore, with a mix of terrain that adds variety to the walk. It's a striking spot, particularly later in the day, with strong coastal views and changing conditions.

Dog rules

A fantastic, very popular snd well known, friendly and a very safe beach to bring your dog for a walk along the waters edge, run on the beach, throwing a ball for them to chase, play with other dogs and socialising. Then go for a swim and jump over the waves. The Council is very strict on the times, so don't go on the beach before 4pm, to avoid any fines. Plus, always pick up your fur baby's/ child business, keeping it clean for other dogs and everyone else who uses the beach. Keeping it clean for everyone. There is a bin at the entrance walkway.

A nice, popular and friendly beach where after 4 o'clock you can go with your furry friend to play, walk, take a bath. I advise you to respect the hours to avoid hefty fines. Parking is nearby, as is a play area. With a good wind you can also do many activities on the water. Recommended!

My mini schnauzer female dog loved the flat, vast beach. She could not get enough of digging holes in sand and burying her ball. We were there from about 5pm and met a variety of dogs and parents.
