What people say
This road-corner cafe is nestled in the quiet suburb of Tamarama. It is the daily haunt of the residents, along with many passersby, who stop for coffee, bakery products and food. It's a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and a warm, cozy ambience. Patrick, Carlos and Natalie are friendly and genuinely passionate about serving the customers. The cafe has a variety of bakery and breakfast options at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
As some others have probably experienced, the staff can be rather rude at times when they’re busy. Not a good experience when staff fails to greet you with a smile and is blunt in asking you ‘what do you want’? Will not be returning.
Coming here longer than a smuggler's sentence (12 years), and i lament that the edges are fraying. The coffee is till good from the same barista. The owner is terrific and cares like your aunt (the cool one). There's a long serving cashier that's just plain rude though. Oh, unless you're a good looking young guy or a mother. Pets help you too. But, alas im an old male and no amount t of charm gets returned with her simple kindness. The food is largely up to it's beginnings, but it's slipping. The rough drawn signals couples with the decaying hardware to make you feel that the love is fading. Ill hope for a return. But I live 80m away, and used to come daily. That's down to weekly. They close earlier too. Fraying edges. The muffin ive had for years reslly missed the recipe today. Lately, they've even stopped serving the toast I shelled out for, despite still having it on hand for sandwiches. Come to think of it, delivering that bad news is the only time the cashier smiled at me in 4 years....
This has to be one of the best little cafes I've been to in a while. It's very small but has some tables outside, it's surrounded by houses so not too busy with traffic and people walking by. Service was good and friendly. I ordered the Brussels sprouts salad, Waldorf salad and pumpkin quiche. The brussel sprouts salad was amazing my tastebuds were thanking me haha. The iced coffee was delicious I could actually taste coffee (not to strong). My husband ordered the Reuben (toasted) that too was delicious. We shared a cookie which we asked to be warmed up in not of salted things but it was just the right touch delicious! I'm looking forward to coming back to try other items off the menu. If you're in Bondi please stop off there you won't regret it.
Fabulous coffee and gluten free sweet treats (choc raspberry muffin is to die for). Love their salad boxes. Great local spot in tamarama!
